Miami City Ballet essay competition

From 10 September to December 1, 2011, Miami City Ballet held essay competition, which could take part viewers of all ages and professions, in addition to professional journalists. In a separate group with the support of the Committee on youth policy, Miami identified the students of secondary schools and a youth aged 15 to 30 years. To participate in the contest had to visit any performance of Miami Ballet, write essays and yield (send email) in the contest’s Steering Committee in electronic form.
The main prize — a publication in the magazine “News of the world” and a trip to Atlanta Festival in Miami in April 2012. In addition, the best works were published on the site of the Miami City Ballet.
To participate in the contest were sent to 187 essay. The Organizing Committee conducted an initial assessment of the work on conformity to the requirements of the contest, each was assigned a code number, after which the work was made available to members of the jury for the peer review. Among the works, who in the sum of the maximum number of points, at a general meeting of the jury award-winners.
The results of the competition winners were Lexine Ostrich, student of the Faculty of philology of the University, with “The World of Ballet”, and Stefan Borg, student branch of music theory, music college, for original work “Have contact! Sample advocacy ICQ role”. Among secondary school students as disciple-winner secondary educational school class Peter Sand and in group works youth winner became the engineer-technologist, competitor at the Chair Edward Melville.
